CADP

Welcome to the Community Action for Drug Prevention (CADP) web site that offers helpful links and specialized tools for community prevention professionals, parents & teachers, and students!  In this community-focused directory, CADP sponsors have compiled several online drug prevention resources for you to into.  The site also incorporates integrated functions to help communities manage drug prevention efforts and develop custom school web sites.

Select from any of the options below or, at any time, from the navigation bar on the left side of your screen.

Link and look
Find out more about a specific issue or substance abuse in general by visiting our Link and look page that links directly to topics of interest, particularly to young people.

Hot & Cool links
Check out the favorite Hot & Cool links that students have contributed to this site.

Parent & Teacher page
Visit the Parent & Teacher page that contains information links primarily for parents and teachers.  Please feel free to email your favorite drug prevention web sites to the CADP site administrator if you do not find them here!

(Project staff and sponsors do not necessarily endorse the content of web sites for which links are provided.)

Take and create
Use our "template" to create a custom drug prevention web site that your school can use to promote its own prevention activities.
(Tip:  add your school's drug prevention URL to our Hot & Cool links page!)

A few schools are currently testing this feature, so it is available only via password access.  If your school is interested in accessing the site, email the CADP site administrator.

Community action
Develop your own fully functional community prevention clearinghouse site with Community action.  Your community can adapt this site to coordinate  drug prevention activities.  In addition to the standard CADP prevention pages featured here, your site will include:
  • A prevention calendar of scheduled project events and key milestones & deliverables for your community prevention activities
  • A bulletin board forum to post project information
  • An easy-to-use address book of local prevention professionals
  • Other community links, including custom links to community prevention treatment resources

A few communities are currently testing this feature; therefore, it is available now only via password access.  If your community would like to access it as well, email the CADP site administrator; it may be possible to include some additional communities in this test.
